Speaking of Sponsorship

Sponsors and supporters share their love of helping children

“There are so many people living in poverty all around the world and you may not be able to help all of them. But I have seen how sponsoring just one person has brought a life-changing hope to his life.”

Volunteer

“I have so much enjoyed being a sponsor for many years. The gratitude and love and letters I receive from children and family warms and touches my heart.”

Volunteer

“We would encourage anybody to sponsor, it’s so easy to spend £28 a month on coffees, magazines and treats without really thinking about it. But for the same cost each month you could change a child’s life.”

What people say?

ESS are a brilliant provision who centre their support around the child/young person and their aspirations, bringing together a unique package to support well into the future. Photographs and written reports show how much the child/young person is achieving the steps needed taken towards their outcomes and this evidence is given without prompting. Kelly is always professional and you can feel her passion for good…

ESS started working with one of my Learners September 2023 and we have been extremely pleased and impressed by the service received. ESS’s referral process was thorough but clear and Kelly responded very promptly to the enquiry. This is a learner with complex needs and was very isolated initially as they had recently moved to Bristol and were struggling to engage and settle and the EHCP which they held was not up to date so it was not easy for ESS as a provider to gauge the level and type of support they needed initially. However, the Learner soon started to engage in an excellent holistic curriculum provided by ESS focusing on developing her academic studies as well as wider areas developing a bespoke programme to meet her needs. We have received detailed and regular reports from the Service which have been really helpful and have also helped the Learner secure a place at Post-16 college on her course of choice which we are all very pleased about as she has been able to demonstrate good engagement and skill development. Overall we are really pleased with the Service ESS delivers and the impact of their work on our vulnerable students and will definitely be referring more young people to them in the future.
